Every network has its own rules. Check a short post against X, Bluesky and Threads or size longer copy for Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and YouTube.
Clean up unusual punctuation, doubled words, emojis and encoding glitches. Preview the result, apply only what you need, and copy or save the finished text.
An emoji can be made from multiple Unicode code points even when it looks like one symbol. Glyphometer uses a modern browser's grapheme segmentation for its visible-character metric. Other metrics include JavaScript UTF-16 units and UTF-8 bytes because some publishing APIs measure those instead.
For X, our weighted estimate treats URLs as 23 characters and many emoji/non-Latin characters as two. It's designed for quick drafting and may differ in edge cases from X's own composer. Always check the final post in the platform before publishing.
Some errors are obvious (“your welcome” is usually “you're welcome”). Others require understanding the sentence. Rather than rewrite meaning, Glyphometer uses a small, explainable set of conservative fixes for homophones and shorthand.
Formatting tools like HTML encoding and diacritic removal can be intentionally destructive. Use the before-and-after preview and undo buttons, especially for names, quotations, and multilingual writing.

Some services weigh URLs, count UTF-16 units or UTF-8 bytes, or treat connected emoji as single visible characters. We show each platform's approximate publishing metric and the general-purpose counts so you can compare them.
